Syringoma

Syringomas 

These are benign sweat gland tumours seen particularly around the eyes as small 2-3 mm tumours which vary in size with the seasons. There is also an eruptive variant occuring on the trunk which is pigmented.


Histologically there is a proliferation of cords and strands of cells around a ductal structure or infiltrating between a thickened dermal stroma. There is no pleomorphism or mitoses. Compare that with Microcystic adnexal carcinoma.
