Special Site Nevus
These nevi are found acrally, on mammary line, peri umbilical, on scalp and on the ears and genitalia.
They have site related atypia and features of malignant melanoma but they are not.
Recurrent Nevi
The big mistake here is to report on a recurrence of pigmentation in a scar without looking at the original histology. The tendency is to overcall the lesion as a melanoma. Regrowth of nevus cells in a scar makes them look more cytologically atypical than they actually behave.
